(RS)-(Tetrazol-5-yl)glycine is a highly potent and selective NMDA receptor agonist (significantly more potent than NMDA or glutamate), inhibiting [3H]glutamate binding to rat brain NMDA receptors with IC50 of 36 nM1. in vitro, it activates NR1/NR2A NMDA receptors with EC50 of 1.77 µM2.

Soluble up to 25 mM in water, with gentle heating. Centrifuge all product preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).
