Gentamicin sulfate, 100X solution, is an aminoglycoside antibiotic which acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. It is active against many strains of Gram-negative bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the Gram-positive Staphyloccus aeruginosa as well as some strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and mycoplasmas.
