4-(二甲基氨基)-N-[6-(羟基氨基)-6-氧代己基]-苯甲酰胺

4-(dimethylamino)-N-[6-(hydroxyamino)-6-oxohexyl]-benzamide is a selective histone deacetylase (HDAC1) inhibitor. It is very similar in structure to M 344 , and has similar potency to trapoxin A and trapoxin B. Trichostatin A is a more potent inhibitor of the HDAC enzyme, however this 4-(dimethylamino)-N-[6-(hydroxyamino)-6-oxohexyl]-benzamide compound has equivalent selectivity and is much more cost-effective for the inhibition of HDAC. The deacetylation of histones by HDAC is associated with transcriptional silencing.
