近日,美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学的Andrew Patterson教授团队揭示胆汁酸水解酶(BSH)是一种氨N-酰基转移酶,其可将胺与胆汁酸结合,生成细菌胆汁酸酰胺酸酯(BBAA)。该团队运用多种方法阐明了BSH生成BBAA的过程与机制,从而加深了对肠道微生物通过BSH显著调节胆汁酸代谢网络的理解。2024年2月,该团队将题为“Bile salt hydrolase catalyses formation of amine-conjugated bile acids”的研究成果发表于顶级学术期刊《Nature》杂志。
