CDKN3 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 3)/KAP (Kinase-Associated Phosphatase) is a dual specificity phosphatase that regulates cell cycle progression through dephosphorylation and inhibition of cyclin-dependent kinases (1). CDKN3 promotes cancer cell proliferation and invasion (2-4), as well as resistance to cisplatin (5,6).
