PKI (6-22) amide is a synthetic peptide that acts as a protein kinase inhibitor. The compound has been shown to inhibit PKA by binding to the substrate site of PKA (IC₅₀ < 2 nM). MDA-MB231 breast cancer cell research indicates that the antiproliferative effects of PKI (6-22) amide are associated to the cAMP-PKA pathway, due to its ability to revert the effects of oxytocin.
