Phospho-Lck (Tyr394) protein is a phosphorylated form of the Lck protein at tyrosine residue 394. Lck, or lymphocyte-specific protein tyrosine kinase, is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in the early stages of T-cell activation. When phosphorylated at Tyr394, Lck becomes fully activated, enabling it to initiate downstream signaling cascades. This phosphorylation event is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system, as it helps in the transmission of signals from the T-cell receptor to intracellular effectors, ultimately leading to T-cell proliferation and differentiation. Abnormal regulation of Phospho-Lck (Tyr394) has been implicated in various immune disorders, making it an important target for therapeutic interventions.
